Story
Dartmouth Rowing Club is making a stance against teenagers saying 'We have nothing to do'. A satellite club has been formed at The Dartmouth Academy to encourage students to take part in rowing. Weekly indoor sessions have been running as an after school club by club members for the past 24months. DARC has acquired more qualified coaches to cope with influx of new talent to the club. DARC has boosted its junior numbers from 5 to now over 35 members. We have some very talented rowers and we believe in investing in them. The 2016 season saw three junior squads racing in the West of England Regatta circuit. In 2017 we aim to add an additional two squads. For this we need to invest in new equipment. We are purchasing a brand new boat for the juniors, the first new for over 14yrs. This is an investment the future of the club, the juniors and the town.
