Story
The private parking companies are unregulated and have been ripping people off for years.
Not any more.
2017 is the year we get to fight back!
The parking industry has obtained from DVLA personal data like name and address based on a vehicle registration mark. They've used this data unscrupulously and even when they have no right to retain the data they continue to process the data - even giving it to Debt Collection Agencies.
This is a breach of the Data Protection Act.
There are some motorists willing to sue the parking companies for the breach.
If the claims for compensation are successful the industry will have to change
The crowdfund is for legal fees, costs and as an indemnity against court costs, just in case.
