I'm looking for help, any help and support you are able to give. I'm in the process of setting up a horse therapy project. the aim, to provide a space where humans can learn about themselves, heal and transform through their interaction with horses. I'm currently looking for funds to acquire land where I can do this and setting up a charity that will own and manage the land so that horses in need will have a forever homes long after I am gone. I've managed to raise over £8000 so far, this includes money saved and left to me and from the Women's Trust. Some of the money will go to equipping me to provide equine assisted therapy to humans in need. I've already started this training with EAGALA and continue with LEAP Equine assisted therapy training in the autumn. I've seen the power of horses helping humans and want to be able to offer this. I'm calling the charitable interest trust Daisy Chain Equine, named after my first rescue Daisy, you can see the page on Facebook. Any profits made by this project will go back into the trust and the community. The land will be to property of the charity, not mine. I feel blessed to have horses in my life they give so much. I have worked as a counsellor and therapist for 20 years and within my work have been able to provide some equine assisted support to clients who I work with at a substance misuse centre. I have witnessed and experienced how much value there is in this work, the effect horses have on humans and want to be able to do more.
