Story

As a military parent, a sense of belonging can be challenging to maintain when life is so transitory and dynamic. We believe the key to ensuring military families enjoy a fulfilling life, despite the inevitable challenges parenthood and military life throw our way is by bringing military families together around shared attitudes, values, interests, experiences and goals. Thus improving the social and emotional connection often lacking in military life and strengthening protective factors in mental health.

Our Seeds of Strength peer support network has helped to connect and support military families, but we want to do more. By fundraising, we want to train more peer supporters in perinatal mental health, enabling us to offer a wider range of peer support groups to cater to more of our community, so that no military family feels alone.
