On the 2nd of April every year the autism community come together for World Autism Awareness Day. Eden is 7 and was diagnosed with autism in November 2016 so we know first hand the challenges faced by autistic people and their families, be it social isolation, anxiety and depression.

On World Autism Day Eden and I will be joining other families to do the "Taylor Park Sponsored Walk for Autism" and we are hoping to raise money for the Autism & Aspergers Society, a voluntary organisation in St Helens which provides a safe, non judgemental place for adults with ASD to gather and partake in activities and develop their communication and social skills.

One day Eden will no longer be an autistic child, she will be an autistic adult and I hope she will have access to excellent organisations such as this one.
