Story
Halton Mill is a former engineering factory on a beautiful riverside site just outside Lancaster, owned by eco-cohousing project Lancaster Cohousing. Since 2013 Halton Mill has been run on a non profit basis by Green Elephant Cooperative as managed workshops, offices, studios, meeting and event space. We have loads of things going on, including a new dedicated retreat space, art classes and hot desking on the first floor - none of which is accessible to people with mobility difficulties. We now have a cafe run by 'You Can Flourish' which provides training for people with disabilities. We're applying for grants to help us install a lift and put in other improvements for people with different disabilities - but we need YOUR HELP too!

I am a director of Halton Mill, work part time as its Operations Manager, & have decided to commit this year to raising all the money needed to install a lift in the building and make it fully accessible. I'm working with a great fundraising team: we'd welcome more people on it!
