On the 18th February 2017 I will be flying out to Sri Lanka to spend a month delivering nursing care to sick children and their families in the deprived town of Kandy. I am currently studying for my second year of Paediatric Nursing at Cardiff University. I have chosen to travel to Sri Lanka to widen my medical knowledge and gain a greater appretiaion of healthcare across the globe.

This trip is currently being funded by my student loan - and will cost £2500+. Furthermore, I am hoping to purchase and develiver medical supplies and toys to the Teaching Hospital Kandy where I will be working. Working within the hospital will enable me to gain a greater appretiaion of the excellent healthcare the NHS provides the UK.
