My Son Harry is a 5 year old boy with Autism, I myself am a widowed parent working full time caring/supporting children with multiple learning disabilities. We are in the process of trying to purchase an Autism Life Dog for him. Autism Life Dogs are an award winning, not for profit organisation providing therapy support dogs for children and families with autism and related developmental difficulties. Autism life dogs are trained in a unique therapy programme of games and activities to aid the development of physical, cognitive, life and social skills, to support speech and language and social interaction, and to regulate sensory issues and reduce anxieties and challenging behaviours. All wrapped up in a best friend for life! The full cost of an Autism Life Dog is £6500 with special harnesses and a dog therapy toy box costing £500.
