The side previously known as Langley Crusaders vets relocated to Hillingdon Abbots FC this year in an effort to find a permanent home. The move proved to be a good fit for both clubs as the opposition teams like to do their bit and stick around to support the home teams club house i.e. wizened Vets teams enjoy a reasonably priced beverage after a game.
Q. Why are they trying to Raise money?
A. Hillingdon Abbots FC veterans are trying to raise cash for new kit to replace their old kit as it is a bit old and no longer fits most of the team.
Q. Why doesn't it fit?
A. The move to a permanent home has attracted new players and this has in turn resulted in a higher turn out and effort in training and as a result the XXL kit that the side previously wore is now a bit on the large side. Apart from the guys being a bit fashion conscious and several team saying that they look like they are wearing kites or tents it is a bit old and worn and not in Hillingdon Abbots FCs colours.
The team and the club would greatly appreciate any donation given towards the funding of a new kit and would also welcome any offers of a sponsor.
