    Story

On the 13th of January 2016 Jamie was in a singular road traffic accident. We believe Jamie's car hit black ice and the car had flipped. Jamie needed a craniectomy and was left in a critical condition, with a Diffuse Axonal Injury and is now severely brain damaged. We are waiting for Jamie to have his last operation to replace his skull bone. This is expected to be around March. Once he has recovered Jamie will be able to come home. Although Jamie continues to make small progress with communication methods and using his arms and hands with meaning, there will not be major changes to Jamie's condition. One things for sure, after 8 months of not seeing Jamie as the man I knew him to be, he gained his smile and laughs at us as the numptys we are when in to visit. His face lights up when he sees our daughter, and all of the rehabilitation team agree that Jamie has and will find most progress through his families presence, love and affection. As Jamie will always need a chair, hoist and help with everyday care, his home needs to be suitable for all his needs. Our current family home is not suitable and we are in the process of putting this up for sale to raise funds for a new home. Jamie would benefit physically and emotionally by being home and watching his baby girl grow up. The one thing Jamie did not want to happen is missing his baby girl growing up and for her to not know her daddy. Jack is excited for his lego/nerf partner to come back home to us where he belongs. I would love to give this to Jamie more than anything. But the sad truth is, is that there is very little chance of gaining a house from the council that will be suitable. This is just not an option under the councils housing books. And as much as I would give my all to buy this house for our family, I will never be the earner Jamie was. So I ask if anyone would like to give anything to bring Jamie home to live a comfortable life watching his princess grow up, Please support us x
