This gorgeous little chap is Jake Mountford. He is nearly 5 years old, and has a rare genetic condition called Angelmans syndrome.

Jake, who lives in Eardington just outside Bridgnorth, has severe learning difficulties. He’s very hyper active, doesn’t sleep much, has epilepsy and he needs a lot of care and attention. Jake can’t talk (and realistically he never will), his balance isn’t very good so he falls over a lot, but he recently learnt to walk independently.

His mum Karen has been in touch as she is desperately keen to raise some money towards a specialised trike for Jake. It would allow him to become more independent and join his family on bike rides.

Jake is such a special boy and hopefully some of you may recognise him. As his mum says, "Jake is naturally a very very loving boy, he has a cheeky sense of humour, and is caring and extremely brave. He loves to catch people's attention when we around town and loves to giggle and smile. Hopefully bringing a smile to their faces too!"
