We all know that there are people in this country living on the streets, but often we turn a blind eye.

My little girl Jenna, who is 6 years old, noticed a homeless person a few months ago. Since then she has regularly asked questions about how people become homeless, where they sleep and do they have enough to eat. Now it has got colder she has become worried about them being warm.

We had a little chat and decided to put together some bits to donate to the homeless shelter from gloves, socks and hats to toiletries and a few Christmas treats. She has her box at the ready and we are starting to fill it.

I have spoken to the Hope Centre in Northampton and they have a "Winter wish list" Jenna thought it would be brilliant to ask others to help her gather as many items as possible.

Jenna and I would really appreciate it if you could help us to be able to donate a large box (or three) of items that will help make this winter a little easier for some people that do not have the comforts that we do.

Please let me know if you would like to donate items and I can send you the wish list, alternatively if you live a distance from us or would prefer to add a few pennies to the pot please donate through this page.

All the money raised from this page by 30 November 2016 will be used to purchase hats, gloves, socks, sleeping bags and other items that will be appreciated.
