    Story

Jibran is my 3 year old nephew who is suffering from a very rare genetic condition called CGD-Chronic Granulomatous Disease. Jibran lives in India with my brother and his wife and is currently in Apollo Cancer Hospital in Chennai. India.

This is a disease that causes the immune system to malfunction. The immune system is unable to protect the body from foreign invaders like bacteria and fungi. He has been seriously ill for a year and in the last 4 months he has been in hospital because or recurrent infections that his body cannot fight.

At this stage of illness he urgently needs bone marrow transplant to save his life. We are currently looking for a bone marrow donor as non of the family tested positive with a 100% bone marrow match.

The treatment involves 5 stages and requires up to 6 moths hospital stay at least. The treatment stages are:
1st - Eliminating infections from the body.
2nd - Finding a bone marrow donor with 100% match.
3rd - Chemotherapy to eliminate Jibrans deficient bone marrow from his body.
4th - The process of transplant itself.
5th - The recovery and rehabilitation phase when the body either accepts or rejects the new marrow.

The treatment itself costs £30000 and the costs for bone marrow procurement and hospital charges will cost at least £20000. perhaps more if they have to do a global search for a bone marrow donor.

Please please help this little boy find a donor and get this life saving treatment that he urgently needs. His parents have spent all that they had in their savings on his treatment which has been ongoing since more then a year. they have managed to arrange £20000 till now for the rest of the treatment but we still need at least £40000 for bone marrow transplant and post procedure treatment.

Please share with your friends, family and colleagues. Every little contribution will help in securing the treatment for this little boy. Please help make this go viral and save Jibrans life.

    Love xx
