I wanted to send everyone who donated a massive thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has been pivotal to helping make this event happen. Happily we now have four trees on Marshall Parade illuminated and a next year we have aims to light up even more of the village. By the evening of the switch on, we had broken even on the costs of buying and installing the lights for this year. The additional funds we raised on the night will be used for next year's lights to bring even more festive spirit to our village.

Truly incredible that we've hit our initial target of £1,000. Thank you to everyone who have donated so far. When we started this page we didn't have a full quotation for all the elements required to install and illuminate the lights and to be honest while we can put lights in some of the trees, we would like to really go BIG! To achieve lights in all four trees, we need more lights and more rental time for the cherry picker. Please don't stop donating. The more donations we receive, the bigger this special community event will be.
