For twenty years, Gordonstoun school has been sending students to Cisnadiora, Romania, to help run a summer school at the Little John's house Orphanage. I have been chosen as part of the group who will make the journey out in the summer of 2017, and my job, along with the others in the group, is to put a smile on the face of those who attend the summer school, in whatever exciting and creative way I can. Around 30 disadvantaged young people come each day to the orphanage over the two weeks of the summer school and the money we raise will go towards buying the resources we need to have fun with the kids. I feel extremely lucky to be a part of this experience, to be able to make one small difference to the lives of those less fortunate than myself and know that my collegues feel the same way too.
