Story
This summer I am travelling to India as part of a Girlguiding North West England International trip.
With 13 Senior section members and 2 assistant leaders, I will be travelling all over India. Our group will visit the Taj Mahal, Jaipur, Delhi, Sangam - (World Centre for the World Assosication of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) and many other towns.
However the main purpose of our trip is volunteering at the Mandore Project in Jodphur. Here we will be working within the local community by upgrading school facilities by building furniture, painting classrooms and installing plumbing.
I am leader in charge for this trip and I have to raise £2100 to cover costs of my accommodation, flights, project fees and visa. After months of fundraising, I am on the last push to reach my goal. I would be very grateful if you would consider contributing to my fundraising. It is going to be a once in a life time experience for the young woman I am leading and very rewarding for all involved.

7 years agoSo I spent my weekend having a blast and getting to know my team better. Its only 160 days until we travel and I can't believe that its been 10 months since I was selected to lead this trip. Time is flying by and I am getting very close to meeting my fundraising target. I really appreciate any support given. Here is a photo of us playing zip zap boing. When we are not building desks or installing plumbing, we will get the opportunity to teach games to school children whilst we are away so it is important that we get the practice in!
