Unfortunately on Sunday night our beautiful white Pug Macy had a fall. She was in her own world, asleep and dreaming and rolled off the bed. I ran to her and found her on her back trying to yelp but nothing came out. I picked her up and lay her on the bed and her whole body was limp. Me and Linzi rushed her to the emergency vets where we were told she had compressed vertebrae on her spine. Her poor little legs no longer work. Anybody who has ever met Macy knows she is a bundle of energy and a joy to be around. Anybody who knows me and Linzi knows that Macy joined the Dowdall household at a tough time for us both. Macy became the apple of our eye. We doted on her. She is the most loving and joyous dog you could ever wish to meet. It's heartbreaking seeing her disabled and unable to give the love back she is shown by her family today.

The next step of Macy's rehab is to take her for an MRI scan to see the extent of the damage. This will tell us whether the damage needs surgery, could potentially heal on its own, or the worst outcome...

I'm asking for anyone who's life has been enhanced by this little white ball of joy to help her on her road to recovery.

I know everybody struggles financially and I appreciate its a lot to ask, especially for those who do not have pets and don't understand the bond between a dog and their owner.

But... I promised my little girl I will do everything I can to help her recover and I have to keep my promise.
