First I want to say thank you for reading the below info and to any that are generous enough to donate...Every little will help.

As most of you know i blacked out for a few seconds in December, resulting in a fall that caused a total dislocation of my knee. I then Spent 3 weeks in hospital, bed bound and unable to move. Spent 6 weeks with leg pinned straight to an external fixator, removed at the beginning of February. At the end of February I had the MRI scan, which revealed the full extent of damage to my knee...i have torn 3 of the 4 groups of ligaments attached to the knee, some completely.

After my recent appointment with my surgeon I am now told this is going to be a much longer recovery period than I initially expected. I have to wait 18 months from the time of the injury (until JUNE 2018!) for the body to heal as much as possible naturally. Then they may operate to reattach ligaments that havent healed enough to the stronger scar tissue that has formed.

During this time I will be having Physio and Hydro therapy BUT I am still effectively housebound when alone and need to find a way to find some form of independence again....I am looking for help towards funding a mobility scooter.

Unfortunately I am not a small woman so cant just buy any old cheap scooter as I need one that will successfully support my weight.

Am looking for a Neo 4 or Sterling Sapphire 2 scooter ideally which are between £900-1100 new :/

As mobility seems to be the biggest issue for me going forward I am hoping people will be generous in helping me part fund my independance as I already have to look at selling and buying a new automatic car too. I will be saving up everything I am able towards these goals.
