I adore the older generation and have such respect for them, in a previous life I worked towards a nursing qualification where i wanted to specialise in healthcare of the older person but i just couldn't switch off, after lots of thought and consideration opted for a new career. My aim was to host tea parties at older peoples residential homes however there isnt the funding avaliable for it. i now pop up with vintage tea parties and tea shops celebrating the British tradition of tea and cake wherevery I can. I adore my job and love serving tea and cake with the biggest smile on my face, hearing people chat and enjoy a slice of my homemade cakes upon vintage china without charging them the earth is music to my ears and I've met a bunch of really lovely people on the way.

I've a huge interest in the second world war and see our older generation as unsung heroes. Everytime I host a party or tea shop it's my little way of celebrating what was done for us to live the luxurious life we live and often raise a little china cup saluting them.....we all know them, from grandfather's & grandmothers to great aunts & uncles to our neighbours.

Currently I don't have a tea shop although it's my ultimate goal is to have my very own vintage tea shop....at the minute with blood sweat and tears I have to cart around, packing.
all the tables, chairs, china etc with lots of aid from parner, parents and grandparents to and from all my events...it takes alot hours and bundles of dedication and huffing however a vintage catering van would solve this issue and eleviate time to make cakes and such. It would open the flood gates to doing other bigger outdoor events too.

If I could achieve this in return I'd love to go into older people's homes and host complimentary tea parties from time to time as a thank you....it's what I set out to do!
