Story
The second week of the Bodham and Selbrigg wind turbine conjoined appeal starts on Tuesday. This week (Wednesday) people from the local community will have their opportunity to voice their thoughts on the applications. NOTTT continue with their legal representation to speak for the 3,000 people who have written to object to the proposed wind turbines at Bodham and Selbrigg (just east of Holt) at the public inquiry at North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) offices in Cromer. Come along and show your support.
Thank you to you all for boosting our fighting fund to £21,000. The money is to cover legal costs but we need to raise a little more. Any amount, however small makes a difference. You can help protect the landscape that you love from on-shore wind turbine development and save the setting of Baconsthorpe Castle, a very special landmark of National importance. If allowed these two turbines will flank Baconsthorpe Castle and set a legal precedent for further in-land developments of this kind.
NOTTT support NNDC's position of opposition to the turbines on landscape and heritage grounds and represent the residents who live within close proximity of the proposed turbines and whose lives are being devastated by this ever present threat. Our energy to fight is not diminished.
With your financial support we can make a real difference, support NNDC and protect our unique and beautiful environment.
Anyone is able to come and give their support at the inquiry at NNDC offices in Cromer. The conjoined appeal continues this week from Tuesday and in to Wednesday, Thursday and the site visit will be held on Friday. If you would like to speak about your concern for the North Norfolk landscape and the settings of the historic buildings within in it such as Baconsthorpe Castle or the wonderful churches you are able to. Register to speak now with NNDC.
