    Story

Ollie is a 23 year old mum to a beautiful little girl called Harper. when Harper was born Ollie began experiencing a number of health concerns such as severe stomach pain, unexplained drastic weightloss which were all dismissed by multiple GP’s as “postnatal depression, not coping with being a new mum and being overly emotional” and she was sent home, ignored with painkillers and laxatives despite returning weekly asking for help. When Harper was 4 months old Ollie was rushed into her local a&e due to severe pain and collapsing at her mums house. After many tests and an agonising 4 day wait the doctors came back with the news nobody every wants to hear. You have cancer. Ollie felt so relieved to have finally been listened too and to know it wasnt all in her head and there was a genuine cause for all of her trouble but at the same time she was devastated at what this could mean for harper, she may not have her mum much longer. After 8 months of intensive chemotherapy every 14 days, which took away Ollie’s ability to walk or even hold her daughter she is now back home, fighting her hardest to be with harper everyday. This diagnosis has changed a lot for ollie, she now has intestinal failure and she will never be able to eat or drink anything again and she will be on a long list of medications for the rest of her life but it is all worth the sacrifice to her if it means she gets to see Harper grow up. Ollie has never been one to ask for help, She has always been very independent from an early age and even during her cancer treatment this year she has so far risen £994 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. But with Christmas fast approaching, Ollie is struggling financially due to multiple hospital admissions, trying to pay for adaptations to making her home more accessible and due to the fact she is too poorly to return to work, and will be unable too for quite some time. She doesnt let on that she is struggling and always has a smile on her face for Harper so we are asking if there is anything you are able to donate to give them a worry free christmas it would greatly be appreciated❤️ Thank you for reading!
