    Story

The Preston Responder Group are a group of volunteers who give their time freely to respond to 999 emergency calls in and around the city.

We are dispatched by Ambulance Control at the same time as the Ambulance, but because we are based in the community, we regularly arrive on scene first, and can start immediate lifesaving treatment quickly before the Ambulance crew arrive, which can some times make the difference between someone surviving or dying.

We currently have 3 active responder kits in use, but as our volunteer numbers increase, we are struggling to share these kits and find ourselves regularly telling our volunteers that we are unable to let them respond as we don't have enough kit to go around everyone.

We want to raise money to buy 2 new defibrillators to put 2 new kits out into the community. This will help us to keep our volunteers active in your community, supporting our Ambulance Service and saving lives.

Good Luck with your fundraising. I've seen first hand how amazing these machines are if used quickly.
