On 11. 03. 2017 at the age of 33 Rafał's life changed forever. He was involved in a near fatal car crash. He survived but sustained grievous injuries. His spinal cord is broken and doctors say he will never walk again, but with the help of specialist equipment and physiotherapy he may still be able to move around on his own.

Rafal is a wonderful husband and a loving father of two. He was always a hard working man and devoted his life to his family, making sure they did not want for anything. His passion is volleyball. He strives to bring his community together by arranging match days to which all were welcome. He also loves disco polo music and would often be dancing and singing out loud to entertain his family and friends.

The physiotherapy that Rafał needs from the Complex Rehabilitation Center in Konstancin is very costly and beyond his family's means. To be in with a chance of leading a normal life, the house he built for his family must be converted for disabled access. He will also need equipment such as a wheelchair and a specialist bed.
