Our 18month-old puppy started walking wrongly about 6month ago. She started suffering pain in both back legs, this continued to get worse over time. During this time we visited 4 different vets to seek answers, and with this investigation also came great costs for the vet bills. Finally, after 2 sessions of radiography, we've found out that she’s cruciate ligament injury in both her legs. The vet has advised us that both legs will need to be operated on ASAP. He has suggested that the TTA method will be used to operate on Rumba. Each leg has a cost of £2000.

In our situation is really difficult to reach this amount of money. We’re a couple from Barcelona in our mid 20s’ sited in Edinburgh for over 2years. As anyone starting in a new country, we passed difficult moments and once we got established in Edinburgh, far away from our family and friends, we decided to take Rumba. The decision to have a new member in our wee family came up due to both of us has grew up surround by dogs and we were not passing our best time missing our home.

Since then, Rumba’s been everything for us, and now we’re trying to do our best to operate her but we can’t without any help. We spent all our safes trying to find out what she has. Our only income had been Peres' job, because Pati is a full time student, although she started working part time now. Even though, we can’t afford this amount immediately and as each day passes the cartilage in her legs is becoming weaker and weaker, causing her great pain. This is causing us great emotional pain as she is our pride and joy.

We also tried to get any economical help such a bank loan or benefit but we lived less than 3years in UK, so we can’t get it. We tried in the PDSA too but they can’t help us due to we're not in housing benefits.
