In order to create more jobs and build a competitive growing economy in the NE of India we need many more, competitive and growing businesses. To make that happen we seek to inspire and motivate entrepreneurs in the region while at the same time increase awareness of the need to create a more favourable climate for entrepreneurship.

A strong 'entrepreneurial economy' is the key to the NE’s competitiveness and continued modernisation. The overarching mission is to create awareness of the numerous business opportunities, investment themes & the huge potential for tourism in the North East of India.

This is an event that raises money to support local entrepreneurs and assist the Assam flood relief while importantly showcasing the opportunities available in the latent potential of the North East Region with a population of c.50m.

This coming September, Nigel Eastwood a renowned Telecom Media and Technology Investor and Advisory Board Member plans to raise funds to support and inspire entrepreneurs in the North East of India. Nigel, a successful entrepreneur from the UK has been operating businesses in India for over a decade, his wife Vijaya is from Imphal, Manipur. Commencing on the 4th of September 2016 and during eight days thereafter, Nigel is going to complete four charity half marathons in the cities of Guwahati, Shillong, Kohima and Imphal.

A number of celebrities and industrialist have agreed to join him including; Mary Kom and the Tetseo Sisters and the Chief Ministers of Assam and Manipur. Post each event, there will be a networking supper for interested parties to get together and socialize. At these events Nigel and his team hope to identify the ‘rising stars’ of entrepreneurship. The funds raised will go directly to a number of lucky entrepreneurs that will also receive mentoring from Nigel for 12 months.

A proportion of the funds raised will also go towards supporting the Assam flood relief initiatives.
