The coming March, on behalf of the wonderful charity School Gambia, a dozen students from Sir Roger Manwood's School will be spending thirteen days to help raise the standard of education for the children and communities of The Gambia while teaching at Yalding School Farato in The Gambia.

Our dream is to raise enough funds with the help of the wonderful people visiting our page in order to meet the demands of gathering much needed supplies which will allow us to add more innovation and excitement to our educational and enhancing lessons for the children of the Yalding School, which will aim to open their horizons to the future journeys that life has to offer as well as bring creativity to the lessons currently in place.

The hard work, sacrifice and determination of this charity has uplifted the school from a group of determined village children chanting the latin alphabet underneath the shade of a young mango tree to a fully functioning two storey facility built from the efforts of normal people. from there on, we have succeeded in generating electricity to benefit not only the school, but the whole village. We have constructed a solar-powered pump that allows the people of this village access to cost-effective, fresh drinking water at a much closer distance than the nearest river. It is an hounor for us to be a part of this trip, and it will certainly change our entire outlook of the world, but most importantly it will allow the possibility for we the people to improve the lives of those less fortunate than us.
