Ceremonial Mayor’s Charity Appeal 2023 to 2024

The Ceremonial Mayor for the City of Salford, Councillor Gina Reynolds, her Consort, Councillor Neil Reynolds and her Charity Committee are busy working hard to raise money for the Ceremonial Mayor’s Charity Appeal 2023 to 2024.

The chosen charities which they are supporting are:

St Ann’s Hospice - Little Hulton

This independent charity provides supportive and specialist palliative care services to people over the age of 18 from across Greater Manchester. Care is given free of charge and provision includes in-patient, home care, day therapy, bereavement services and community services.

START- Inspiring Minds

Founded in 1993, this award-winning charity based in Pendleton, delivers therapeutic arts and horticulture sessions to people living with mental health conditions. START has a variety of projects including ‘Reach Out Start to End Suicide’ which helps save lives by increasing suicide knowledge and decreasing stigma.

Agnes Hopkins Community Centre:

This community centre in Swinton, was founded in 1955 and provides a safe, welcoming space for people of all ages. The centre helps to improve people’s health and wellbeing and offers information, advice, advocacy and a range of recreational and social activities plus events. It also provides nutritional meals and snacks.
