    Story

Sam was diagnosed with Truncus arterios whilst in the womb. The doctors prepared Lisa and Ste that Lisa would be induced at 37 weeks pregnant at St Mary's hospital in Manchester.
However baby Sam had other ideas and on 08-01-2107 Lisa's waters broke.
Lisa was taken to St Mary's where she was admitted. Lisa was monitored closely and after a long week was discharged.
Two days later on 17-01-2017 Samuel Simon Warren Bellerby was born by emergency c section at Macclesfield Hospital, weighing 4lbs 9oz.
The team at Macclesfield were amazing and Lisa and Ste cant thank them enough.
Luckily a consultant came and scanned sams heart straightaway. The scan however showed that sam did not have Truncus and he had a good idea what was wrong with Sam and started him in drug called prostin.
That evening at 11.30pm Lisa had to say goodbye to Sam as he was taken by the NWTS team and was transferred to Alderhey hospital in Liverpool. Sam's daddy Ste followed sam to Liverpool and Lisa had to remain in Macclesfield for a further 2 days until she had recovered.
This time for the family was heart breaking as now they were all separated, Lisa was in Macclesfield hospital and her two boys Luis and Alfie were with grandparents and then Ste and baby sam were in Liverpool.
Sam is now a month old and still remains in Alderhey but very soon will be transferred to London where he will undergo open heart surgery.
Currently Sam isn't strong or stable enough for the surgery but hopefully within next few days/weeks sam will be transferred by helicopter to London.
Lisa has not left Sam's side and is living in Liverpool but Ste has sadly had to return to Macclesfield and back to work to support his family.
The financial strain that has come with the long hospital stay, time off work, travel expenses, parking, everyday living for Lisa at the hospital, eating drinking and toiletries. I want us as a community to help by making donations to help take this strain away.
