One of my favourite humans has a poorly doggo. Noelle and I are appealing for your help with vet fees.

Sandwich has been a bit poorly recently and we thought he was gaining weight because he was sneaking in snacks and ordering just-eat behind our backs... On Sunday his belly was swollen like he was A. pregnant B. had eaten a football but the little guy was whimpering when he was trying to lie down and unable to sleep uninterrupted and in a lot of pain.

On Monday blood test confirmed that the had a blood deficiency which makes his blood unable to draw water from his intake, so the swelling/ bloating is a build of of fluids in his abdomen.

on Tuesday he was referred to a specialist in Runcorn, who has decided to keep him in for the evening to perform an albumin blood transfusion followed with and ultrasound and endoscopy in the morning.

Sammich's owners are insured up to £3000 and this is likely to be up to £5000.

Please help his owner Noelle is doing a heart break. This is very unexpected.

We just want to get him back up to being his normal healthy self and running around, barking at reflection dogs and peeing on sticks in Avenham park.

Wednesday Update: blood transfusion last night went well, they are saying it was successful and saw signs of improvement this morning.

Update: the blood transfusion worked but not as well as they hoped and blood did not absorb enough liquid. His tummy was manually drained and they removed over 1Ltr of water, they have diagnosed him with IBD and the vet said it was very bad, but not hopeless. So we are clinging onto that hope and hoping the little man is strong tonight so that we can go see him tomorrow x Please send positive thoughts his way. And let's hope he comes home to us x

The vet said that despite how ill he was and how much pain he is in, he wagged his tail slowly when she approached him and tried to lick her face... because he is a tiny hero ❤️
