Story
The Wattsville National Club and Institute was once the meeting place for all working men and their families in the village, it is steeped in history and like many other buildings has had to move with the times to keep appealing to our clientele both from within and outside the village.
We have social nights in the form of bands, discos, psychic mediums, and children's parties; which are always well attended. The club now has full wifi capability allowing an ever increasing media orientated generation to enjoy the facilities.
In order to achieve all of this a refurbishment loan was taken out to renovate the club, unfortunately although the club can pay it's day to day expenses (wages, utilities, stock etc.) it is unable to keep up the repayments on this loan.
Matters have now come to a head where the lending party have instructed solicitors to recover the remaining £30k debt from the club, which it can obviously not afford.
We have agreed to meet the lenders half way on this, in full and final settlement which will allow the club to continue trading and additionally offer it's facilites for private functions such as parties, funerals and public meetings.
Regretfully, if we are unable to reach this target, the Wattsville National Club will close and Wattsville will become a "dry" village (the Jubilee Club at the other of the village closed it's doors a few years ago), all villagers will then be forced to walk/travel a minimum of two miles to find alternative refreshment.
We desperately do not want this to happen and would urge you all to dig deep and give whatever you can spare to help us reach this target and SAVE The Wattsville National
