Josh is a 7 year old little boy who unfortunately has a condition called Fox G1. Fox G1 is a genetic neurological syndrome which is present from birth. Fox G1 Syndrome is caused by changes involving the FOX G1 gene. This gene provides instructions for making a protein called forkhead box G1. This protein plays an important role in brain development before birth. Babies and young children with FOX G1 Syndrome often have feeding problems, sleep disturbances, seizures, limited communication and poor eye sight.

Josh has to have 24 hour care. His tracheostomy needs to be cleaned every day as if it becomes suddenly blocked, Josh would not be able to breath. It is essential that his Mic-Key button is also
cleaned thoroughly as this is used to feed Josh and provide him with medication that he needs. Josh also needs feeding 5 times a day, each feed takes up to one hour at a time. The list for caring for Josh is endless!

Josh depends on a lot of equipment, indoor chairs, wheelchairs, wheelchair adapted vehicles, suction machines, SATS machine, sensory equipment, plus Much more! As you can imagine all of this equipment is expensive. Josh's family have had to fund this themselves.

I will be doing a Skydive on Monday 1st May 2017 (The date could be changed depending on the weather on the day, but the Skydive will defiantly go ahead at some point thereafter). I will be doing the Skydive as a fundraiser to help raise money an awareness, to provide Josh with equipment which he really needs.
