The decades-old heating in St George's had become inefficient and reliable, with leaks, barely warm radiators and failing boilers. A new modern efficient gas-fired system has now been installed at a cost of around £100k - the high cost partly due to the discovery of asbestos and the need for safe removal. This is a well-loved building, a focal point of the community, much used for christenings, weddings, funerals, Sunday worship and special events. Now it is warm and welcoming, but we need to raise money to repay some generous loans which have enabled us to complete the work and pay the bills. Please help if you can.
