    Story

As a School we are hoping to fund and partake in a Pilgrimage to the well known Catholic Marian Shrine in Lourdes, South of France. This pilgrimages main ministry, is to provide an opportunity for Disabled and terminally ill young people and adults to have a spiritual retreat and also a fun holiday in the company of those who are in a similar life situation's to them. It also gives the space for young people and adults across the world to give their week to care for those who are in this position.

Our school as you know is called St Mary's and our feast day is 8th December 'the Immaculate Conception'. St Bernadette was the first person to hear Our lady be called this during an apparition at the Grotto, which is now visited by 4 - 6 million people a year which makes this cause even more important for us a school to support, as it is part of our story too.

We as a school still strive to care for those who can be most marginalised in our society as inspired by our founders the Sisters of St Mary of Namur, which those in these disabled positions can be.

We hope to be joining the Across organisation in Easter 2018.
We need your support to be able to join in this mission, to enable more disabled young people join this pilgrimage with many other young people from across the world.

On behalf of all the students here at St Mary's, we thank you for your generosity and ask you to keep us in your prayers.

This lunchtime had good vibes, and good participation from the students. It involved sweets stalls and a cake sale, donut challenges and football shoot outs and the bear with no name made another appearance today thanks to 7J's contribution. Our last lunchtime event is tomorrow which is 'University Challenge' with our year 11-13's. Both sides seem confident and ready to compete. Watch this space..!!!
