This quote sums up the reason why I'm so excited and feel so passionate about my expedition to Southern Tanzania. I am planning a World Challenge expedition to Africa in 2018 to help local school children achieve their potential by helping provide better environments for learning. In Britain we take our schools and education for granted and don't realise the hardships some of the children in Tanzania go through to get an education.

As part of an enthusiastic team of teenagers with the same goals we will take part in projects to redevelop and improve local schools and also have an opportunity to be involved in lessons and work with the local children. I am so excited to be part of this expedition as this has been a dream of mine for the past few years. It's all about making a difference in some way however small or big.

The expedition will help me develop life skills and perseverance and stamina as the expedition also requires high fitness levels to cope with the long treks over difficult terrains. This journey will be life changing not only for me but for the families and communities in Tanzania.
