It's a long story but in short; Crystal is losing her eyesight. After being sent in for emergency treatment in a bid to save her eyesight, Crystal has been through an unfair and unethical investigation. The outcome is that she must pay a wrongful and unexpected medical bill of £7,000. Despite being told at the time that the emergency surgery was not chargeable, the Bristol Eye Hospital have demanded payment by the 1st of August, 2017. Crystal has friends and family in the UK and may run the risk of deportation and be denied further access to the country and further eye care, should she not pay in full.

Crystal is working hard to pursue her career in singing and songwriting. If access to the right medical care is denied and if she loses the remaining 20% of her vision, her opportunities would be drastically reduced. For this reason, I am asking for your contribution towards saving Crystal’s eyesight. Any amount, however small, would make a huge difference.

You could be someone who knows Crystal well, someone who already knows her story or someone who didn't know the extent of what she has been through. Maybe you are someone who used to know her when you were younger or maybe you are someone who has never met her before. Whoever you are, be someone who cares.

Please don't think of donating as a monetary exchange. Instead, consider yourself to be involved in a greater act of kindness; one that is trying its hardest to rebalance and reinstate a force of positivity in favour of the strongest and bravest young woman that I know.

I wanted to leave you with a message I received from Crystal -

"With all things considered, I find myself thinking how ironic it all is. Even if I somehow raise £7,000 and pay off my medical bill, my case has been closed and I have been brandished a liar. And I suppose there isn’t even a finish line for me as I live with the reality that there is no miracle cure. I will still have the same set of eyes for the rest of my life."
