Hi folks! Aughakillymaude community association are having a fundraising event on Sunday 4th September raising money for two charities that are very close to our hearts! The Children's Kidney Fund NI & Helping Hands. Both are charities based in the Royal Childrens Hospital in Belfast.

As you may all know we have benefited from these charities when our beautiful daughter Tilly Rose was diagnosed with end stage renal failure at 7 days old. We spent 20 weeks in the Royal where we went through the most terrifying & difficult time of our life. Along with the amazing staff & generosity of these charities we were able to spend time in hospital without financial worries & were just able to concentrate on getting Tilly stronger & home to her sisters. These charities continue to help Tilly as we continue her treatment.

We have met so many families going through similar if not more than what we have, it's not an easy time when your baby is so ill. These charities work to give our sick children the best possible care & help reduce the worries of their families.

As Tilly turns 2 years old now on the 22nd August (something which we weren't sure we would ever see) it would be wonderful to raise money to help other sick children & their families.

A balloon race will take place & we are selling balloons for £3 each or 2 balloons for £5. If you wish to buy a balloon on line please leave your name & address with your payment! Or if you would like to just make a donation. It really is for such a good cause. Thank you all so much.
