UKCM are supporting people with Cerebral Palsy in the North East & Yorkshire region to gain access to impairment specific Football opportunities

The team are an all inclusive group with members from South Yorkshire all the way up to Newcastle. They have 3 squads, under 14's, under 17's and the senior team.

Cerebral Palsy Football has recently been omitted from the Paralympics and as a consequence, the FA have withdrawn funding. They now find themselves privately raising the £1,500 needed each season for venue hire and transport. The team is hugely relevant to us at UK Case Management as many of our clients have Cerebral Palsy and we are very much trying to help them meet their two objectives of raising funds and recruiting new players.

The CP Sport league was initially set up for those with Cerebral Palsy, however, with the pool of players not being big enough to form a team, they scouted for team players with acquired brain injuries, strokes and dyspraxia – which all effect players in similar ways to that of cerebral palsy.

Joe is the teams player/fitness coach and tirelessly promotes the team to raise funds so that football remains accessible to all. We want to help him as much as humanly possible!

Challenge 1 (1st July) - Rob Payne (Case Manager, Viv's son)has entered Endure 24 at Bramham Park and is aiming to run 100 miles in 24 hours!

Challenge 2 (September) - Our Finance Manager, Julie Paul is cycling coast to coast!

Challenge 3 (October) Case Manager, Viv's family are running the Pontefract half Marathon
