During the last City of Edinburgh Council elections in 2012 there was a voter turnout of only 37.6%, meaning only 6384 out of 16,972 voted.

I want to run a non party political hyper-local campaign to (1) encourage people to register to vote and (2) encourage them to vote.

This will a multi channel campaign in the Ward using the internet & social media, traditional media such as posters & flyers but will include much more.

What this campaign is not - It is not about telling people who who or why they should vote for a particular candidate or party.

What this campaign is - It is about explaining to people why it is important to use their vote, how they can register to vote, and how they actually vote.

When will this campaign run - From 1 April 2017 - 4 May 2017.
