Whitchurch Saints began as far back as 1981, formed by the wives and girlfriends of Whitchurch Mens HC. From this, the ladies worked hard at establishing a successful senior team and we now have 5 competitive sides that all play in the South Wales Hockey League. In the last few years, much work has focused on increasing the performance levels as well as the participation side of the club, with an ultimate goal: winning the Welsh Cup.

In the 2015/2016 season, the hard work paid off and Saints beat Gwent Ladies 2-1 to win the HockeyWales Women's Championship, earning the team a place to represent Wales in an European competition.

It is a notable first in the history of the ladies' side of the club and it will be an event to remember for everyone involved. It is a great development opportunity for the girls and they are keen to showcase their talent on the European stage.

The team has already planned/ran numerous activities to raise money for the cause, but we would welcome further donations (large or small) to help achieve our target.

Whitchurch Saints 1st team is asking for your support to help cover some cost of travel and accommodation for the squad at the EuroHockey Challenge Cup II held in Vienna, Austria in June 2017.
