What is the money for?

We are two 16 year old girls going to Uganda in the summer of 2018 to carry out volunteer work in a school over 2 weeks alongside the charity, Child Africa.

Whilst in Uganda we will be working on the school's infrastructure to help make it a safer and more pleasant place for the kids to be in. We will also be working on the vegetable garden on the school site to ensure that the children can eat every day. Most importantly, we will be digging pipe lines for the installation of a well on site so that students and teachers have access to clean, running water.

What we are doing

In order to do this in Uganda we need to raise money to get there and stay there, the two of us have decided we will take part in the Dovedale Dash.

Neither of us have ever done anything like this before and certainly don't enjoy running, especially in mud and through water! We're hoping that people will sponsor our run and all money raised will go to funding our volunteering in Uganda.

Targets

We want to raise as much money as possible, and the more money we raise the further we'll go!

£80- We will run through the water instead of using the stepping stones

£200- We will run in fancy dress

£400- We will run handcuffed together!

To go on this trip we will eventually need to raise £1850 each and whilst we will both be doing a number of fundraisers before summer to reach this amount, the target for this particular project is not any kind of limit

Any money that goes over our limit will still all go towards this trip!
