We are a trained group of counsellors, volunteering our time to helping those in need. The NHS has a waiting list for counselling which is resulting in people waiting months for individual counselling. In this time their mental health can deteriorate significantly. Access is volunteer led and offers affordable counselling in our community, but we recognize we are missing many people as they are unable to pay anything for the service. People like the young homeless, young people who feel unable to ask parents and vulnerable adults in the area. We are sadly at risk of losing our current premises due to the sale of the building. We would like to raise enough money to cover the cost of rent in a new location, with plans to eventually purchase a building, allowing us a safe and secure environment to continue our much needed services.
