BMS World Mission (https://www.bmsworldmission.org/) runs "Action Teams" every year, sending people to help those most in need in various places. The gap year program includes a six-month international mission in local communities anywhere from Thailand to Mozambique or Peru. The work includes teaching English to children, empowering women, supporting disabled communities, planting churches and running outreach campaigns. It is an opportunity to raise awareness to the wider world of the problems some communities face and to stretch the limits of my faith.

I will be training in September and going abroad from October to April. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities I have and the support I receive, but I hope I can use this to make a difference in the lives of people who need it most.
