Weʼve raised £7,433 to send Freyja overseas for treatment to save her life. She has less than 6 months left to live without this initial treatment.

The JustGiving.com web site has expires all campaigns after 120 days, so we have had to re-open a new campaign to follow on.

On the 23rd December 2016 Freyja's mum found what seemed like a hard lump on Freyja’s neck which she had not felt or seen before. After many tests and scans, in January 2017 she received devastating news that her little Freyja has cancer. This cancer is so rare, it took a team of international Specialists supporting the Sydney Children’s Hospital to identify. The diagnosis was Cutaneous Clear Cell Sarcoma, formerly known as a type of melanoma however just this week, after full test post immunotherapy treatment, the diagnosis was confirmed to be Stage 4 Malignant Gastrointestinal Neuroectodermal Tumour (GNET) Clear Cell Sarcoma. This also is very aggressive, prone to relapse, malignant and its location makes it inoperable. We may only have as much as 6 months to save her life.

Freyja is currently undergoing a new dual drug Immunotherapy trial at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Australia, which has slowed the disease. The decision has to be made in July as to what happens next. Proton Therapy has been suggested by Sarcoma Experts in both Germany and the US as her only next option beyond the current trial. Your donation can help save her life.

#acureforfreyja was contacted in May by members of the MotoGP community who proposed a concept called One Paddock. One Paddock is a coming together of the sporting community to help save Freyja.

Since that early discussion where a number of memorabilia and merchandise was offered by the riders to the campaign with a suggested Online Auction, the riders, teams and supporters within MotoGP have donated dozens of items. William Favero (Yamaha Marketing and Communications Manager) has donated Valentino’s hand written letter, with Valentino’s endorsement, to #acureforfreyja and Shannons Australia have come onboard to host and manage the Worldwide Online Auction.
