Story
The money raised will be donated to a study at Leicester University called ‘ACCEPTANCE’ which will help understand the issues that women have following cervical cancer treatment and will help develop new treatments. It focuses on survivorship and tries to make a difference to the quality of patients' lives following their cancer diagnosis. In particular, focusing on cervical cancer because it is a disease that can have a devastating effect both physically and psychologically. Leicester hospitals are very passionate about the care they give to their patients and want to make sure that they are not only giving first class medical care but also helping to support them and their friends/families during and after their treatment
