Story
Hello there!
As part of the internship I am currently undergoing at Grant Thornton, I have been encouraged to get involved in fundraising for a brilliant charity called Lend with Care. The organization provides people in developing countries with the money to start their own businesses and become independent. This is unlike many charities as the money will eventually be paid back by the budding entrepreneur and I can then use the money to help another person start their own business.
So...as many of you will know, the past six months of my life have been filled with exams and dodgy knees and therefore I have been unable to perform any form of exercise. As you can see in the picture, my only real sporting action has been beer pong.
Therefore, in order to raise some money for Lend with Care, I will be doing a charity bike ride THIS SUNDAY around Richmond Park. Each lap of the park is around 20 km and so I will be hoping to get at least two done!
I would be very grateful if anyone could sponsor me, even if it is just one pound per lap. As many of you will be aware, the last time I rode a bike for an extended stretch, I broke my breaks going on a downhill road and crashed into a metal gate, flipping headfirst over the top at top speed and suffered from concussion and heavy bruising. Hopefully this time will go a lot smoother!
Thanks for reading this and please donate for a brilliant cause, even if it is just one pound!
