I was introduced to an "Admiral Nurse" fundraiser last year, that had sadly encountered dementia close up, as her husband was a sufferer for some year's until he passed away.

She was alone and did not know where or who to talk to for help, or more importantly support, and unfortunately did not hear about the Admiral Nurse's and their work until it was too late.

She inspired me to also want to raise fund's, and as importantly, awareness for the fantastic job that the Admiral Nurse's do for dementia sufferer's and their families.

I believe at some point in everyone's life they will know or be related to a dementia sufferer and we will need more and more qualified Admiral Nurse's.
