If you've acknowledged this post it means that you're either mine or Magdalena's friend. However if you're not familiar with Magdalena i will tell you her story.“Our sister Magdalena has had numerous illnesses from birth. When Magdalena was born she was diagnosed with impaired vision, hence she was referred to surgery a number of times performed in Krakow & Kielce .When she became 7 she started to live a normal childhood, but at 12 they discovered that she had a cyst in her knee. Consequently she had to undergo further surgery, but when they attempted to remove the cyst they damaged the ability of the knee to further develop during childhood. Following failed surgery my parents immediately decided to assumption wagner, however this didn't cure the defect. Then the doctors suggested that they stretch her leg bones with Ilizarov to avoid her using a wheelchair. When she became 20, she could finally support her own weight with her legs. However happiness was short lived as she was diagnosed with a brain tumour -glioma- anaplastic astrocytoma at the age of 25. I recall the devastating impact this had upon our family, especially when Magdalena had overcome so many health issues. Doctors decided to undertake brain surgery to remove the tumour, which appeared to have been a success. After a few years, Magdalena's surgical scars became infected with Golden Staph, so she was prescribed with special antibiotics for her leg.
And now unfortunately 7 years on from the original operation, the brain tumour returned with double vigour & they're unable to operate. However there is 1 opportunity remaining to improve her life called oil RSO, which is very expensive to prescribe, but is known to help people in the USA, UK & Poland.There is a glimmer of hope to help my sister; however we do not have the funds to pay for this treatment ourselves. We feel largely inadequate asking for donations, but we're desperate to grab the possibility to keep our Magdalena with us.
