Story
I am walking the entirety of the West Highland Way (100 miles) to raise much-needed money for both the Highlands Support Refugees and Shelter Scotland.
Homelessness and displacement - in Scotland and abroad - are pressing humanitarian issues I believe we must collectively tackle (particularly in the face of slow-moving and/or callous governments).
The hike is a pretty daunting prospect: it's four times longer than anything I've ever done before, there are lots of hills, and there will be a heavy pack on my back. Please let my blisters, sore muscles, and exhaustion be for an excellent cause.

7 years agoThank you so much to the lovely folk who donated today, sending me on my way! On this first leg we trekked for hours in the pouring rain (rain so heavy our 10000MM waterproofs and trusty boots let water in) but our spirits remained high! No fully-fledged blisters to report... yet! And we found an adorable dog carving. Now it's time for resting ahead of our second stint! ❤️
