MY 1ST MARATHON
26.2 mile Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 28th May 2017
(Never ran more than 13.1 miles before)

To keep my focus I've also committed to running 10 mile Great Edinburgh Run on Sunday 23 April 2017 and if I've not sickened myself to ever running again by then, I'll also run the 13.1 mile Great North Run on Sunday 10th September 2017.

SO 50 MILES IN TOTAL
(for the mathematicians out there, yes this is 49.3 mile, so will be doing the 0.7m as warm up to starting line of one of them) :)

MY TWO CHARITABLE CAUSES

ONCOLOGY UNIT @ ST JOHNS HOSPITAL, LIVINGSTON
The oncology unit provides a calm and welcoming environment for patients and relatives supported by a multidisciplinary team who are available to help individuals through their cancer journey. The team, including MacMillan Support, do an amazing job in incredibly difficult circumstances. Anyone who's seen this team in action (as I did over a long period of time) know what they do for those attending this unit, and much of this care is self funded and a direct result of fundraising.

ASTRO GYMNASTICS (charity number SC043346)
A registered charitable trust. An acrobatic gymnastics club based in Livingston. Since moving to their own dedicated facility over 4 years ago, membership of the club has grown phenomenally (over 600 members now, including my own 3 daughters) and as a result they are now looking for a larger facility to run more classes for the benefit of the residents in West Lothian and beyond and need to raise funds to do this.

The funds raised will be split equally between the 2 causes.
