On 26.10.17 Ali was involved in a horrific accident which has left him with both life threatening and life changing injuries. Ali is currently in ICU at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where they are currently trying to determine the full extent of the injuries.

The accident broke Ali's spine in 2 places, severing the spinal chord causing paralyses from the chest down. His ribs, chest and shoulders were crushed causing life threatening damage to his lungs. A chest drain has been inserted to help at present however he requires oxygen support to prevent his lungs from collapsing.

Ali will be transported to the spinal unit in Glasgow once he is deemed stable enough for the journey, this however is going to have a major impact on his family.

As Ali and his family all live in Nairn and Inverness, this means a 340 mile, 7 hour total commute. As this is nearly impossible to do every day to be by his side Ali's family will need to find accommodation near or in Glasgow for what may be an extremely lengthy recovery process. Ali has a 1 year old Daughter, Kacey and it is hugely important that she can be near him with his partner to help motivate him throughout his rehabilitation.

We are asking for your support to help cover some of the huge expenses that long-term accommodation and lengthy commutes to Inverness are going to incur.
